How do I purchase the spa?  
Each spa has an item # shown on the description form. Please write that # down and bring it to the Design Center (If a Home Resort Rep is not on hand). Rep who will then fill out a special order form that you will then bring to the register at Costco Home.

 
Who is Home Resort Products?  
We are the vendor. We are the company who makes it possible for products like Calspas and other High end Home resort unique specialty products available to Costco members.

 
  What happens if I need service?
Your warranties are with the manufactures of the products you purchased. Calspas has multiple warranty service centers locate though out the region to response to your warranty service. You will be provide with the contact names and numbers at dealer or on our website. These service provider can help assist and help answers questions and concern that may arise, or just e-mail us.

 
Will I have to pay for Warrantee work?  
No, not if a part is covered under he Cal spas 5 yrs parts and labor warranty (see warranty link for details)

 
Is there a charge for the service company to come to my house?  
Yes, In the spa industry this is referred to as a trip charge or a call out charge and is standard through out the spa industry. (Not just spas purchased through the Costco Home program) This charge varies due to Mileage ( $95 with in 30 mile of Costco Home Kirkland)

Will I get more or better Customer service if I buy from a spa store?  
In our experience Customer service at any small to medium business can vary depending on the Company. We have put systems in place with the Costco Home program that in most cases offer better than specialty spa store service.

 
  Why buy a Costco Home instead of the local Cal spa dealer?
Costco Home and Home Resort Products have narrowed down the product line to reflect some of the most popular spas and features; this allows you to take advantage of streamlined pricing.

 
How long will it take to get my spa?  
Because your spa is custom built for you with your specifications, our current lead time is 6-8 weeks. A representative will contact you when your spa is on the way to scheduled delivery.

 
What if my backyard is difficult to access?  
We can do a site inspection if you feel the delivery might be difficult. In which case, you may need a crane. We can recommend crane services, but you will be responsible for any charges associated with their service fees. Please note-ANY products with Cal Stone Siding require a crane.

What is a spa shell?  
A spa shell is the entire seating area or basin of the spa. Because it is also the most expensive components of your spa to replace, it is also one of the most important features to evaluate before you make a spa purchase. How do I choose the right seating arrangement / spa shell mold?  
When choosing seating arrangement / spa shell mold, you should consider for what purpose(s) your spa will be used. Are you looking for hydrotherapy massage? A place to get together and relax with family? Maximum seating to entertain friends? Or a combination of the above? Also evaluate what types of seats you find comfortable and easily accessible. What are "therapy seats"?  
Therapy seats are ergonomically designed to provide a relaxing, full body massage. A variety of performance jets are arranged to provide penetrating massage to neck, back, shoulders, arms, thighs, knees, calves and/or feet. Cal Spas hot tub feature several different therapy seats, each with a unique layout of jets to provide different massage sensations. Therapy seats are an important feature when considering what spa model best fits your hydrotherapy, entertainment, and/or relaxation needs.

 
What are the "pillows" mentioned in the spa descriptions?  
Pillows are form-fitted padding that are built into the spa shell to provide an extra measure of comfort for your head and neck. Some spa models also feature our exclusive PillowSage Headrests™ for a Shiatsu-like pressure massage to the head and neck.
Why are "removable panels" important?  
Removable panels allow easy access to the spa’s interior should your spa require service or maintenance. During our extensive quality tests, removable panels also allow our Quality Control Experts to check and re-check your spa’s interior components before your hot tub is finally shipped.

 
What is the recommended length of time that I can stay in my spa?  
The National Spa Institute recommends a maximum soak time of 15 minutes for adults and 10 minutes for children.

 
What is the safest maximum water temperature?  
It is recommended that your spa temperature not exceed 104°F.

 
How often should I perform a water quality check?  
Checking your spa’s water quality is a simple, convenient, and vital step. Five (5) minutes is all it takes to ensure your safety and your spa’s longevity. You should ideally check your water quality every day (see Cal Spas Clear Water Plan). However, depending on your spa’s frequency of use, you may check water quality every other day.
